The story. The purpose. The standard.

Our mission
Militant Grind equips warriors to rise through adversity and take responsibility for the life they build.
Through fitness, mental resilience, spiritual grounding, and practical leadership, we help men and women turn conviction into action—in their bodies, their homes, their careers, and their communities.
Love, Honor, Strength, Discipline, and Wisdom are the commitments behind every part of this movement.
The Sovereign Protocol
A direct relationship with Sherman. Clear goals. Honest accountability. A plan that connects the work you do today to the life you want to live.
Fitness goals, health routines, and the discipline to keep showing up.
Mindset, daily structure, resilience, spiritual reflection, and direction through difficult seasons.
Family presence, relationships, career decisions, business mindset, and responsibility.
Choose the priority. Establish the habits. Begin with focused action.
Put structure around your goals and strengthen your consistency.
Build deeper accountability across your body, mindset, leadership, and purpose.
We begin with your goals, your readiness, and an honest conversation. Support and investment are discussed individually.

I built Militant Grind from the life I have lived—and from the belief that what you have been through does not have to decide who you become.
I came up in South Central Los Angeles. Before the age of 35, I was a father of four in a city that demands a lot from you. Being a husband and a father meant learning to lead while facing my own trials. I earned my MBA and PMP certification through those seasons. The progress came from doing the work when life gave me every reason to stop.
My family’s story includes an ancestor who fought in the American Revolutionary War. I was named after my great-great-uncle Sherman Perryman, who served in World War I. My grandfather served in the Navy, and my father served in the Army. That lineage taught me to respect sacrifice, responsibility, and the example a man leaves behind.
As the eldest male in my family, I felt a responsibility to set an example for my younger brothers. One is a military staff sergeant. The other owns a brick-and-mortar business in Los Angeles and employs 20 people. They have built their own paths, and I am proud of the leadership, work ethic, and physical discipline we share.
I used to hate running. Then I chose to challenge myself. I completed the Big Bear Beast and several other Spartan races. Facing something difficult and finishing it gave me a stronger belief in myself. That lesson reaches far beyond a race: confidence grows when you keep the promises you make to yourself.
Through my writing, tutorials, and the Militant Grind movement, I have supported and inspired men and women working toward stronger bodies, better habits, healthier relationships, and a new direction.
I have heard from men rebuilding trust with their wives; warriors completing marathons and Spartan races; women losing weight and getting stronger; and people finding hope during depression and difficult seasons. Others have described finding work and careers after incarceration, or developing the mindset to start and lead a business.
These are individual journeys. The work belongs to the warrior who chooses to take the next step. My purpose is to help them find direction, build discipline, and keep going.
“Do something hard. Overcome it. Carry that belief into the rest of your life.”
